Places: Rubbish Dump

Just outside of Meri Acres farm is a big pile of rubbish - it's where people go to get rid of stuff that has started to smell SO bad they don't want to be near it any more. Have a look through, you may find some exciting stuff!

The Rubbish Dump is a place of well, rubbish, right? Well it can be. You can collect items all day and hope to grab something. Most of the time you'll find it empty, but when you don't you can grab items that you can sell for nearly nothing, or maybe a rare item that is so valuable it is an unbuyable!

This guide will tell you everything you ever need to know about the Rubbish Dump.

History, Neopedia

One of the most underappreciated spots in the vast farmlands of Meri Acres is the charming Meridell Rubbish Dump. Other than Charlie, a blue Kacheek with an attitude as poor as his sense of smell, no one really has the stomach to get too close to the Rubbish Dump without some proper nose protection.

Smelly trash, soggy trash, stinky trash... it all ends up here. Oddly enough, some Neopians actually enjoy plugging their noses and rooting through it for "treasures." Granted, these visitors typically walk away with little more than a few stains from wiping their hands on their trousers, but it is rumoured that some of them have actually found items that were worth quite a bit.

It has been said that, on occasion, Meridell Petpets will smell the delightful odour of the rubbish pile, and journey from afar to sniff, roll in, and nibble on the discards. When this happens, there is always at least one dauntless Neopian who is ready to run in, snatch up the Petpet, and escape again before the smell has caught up with them. To all those fearless Neopians... we salute you.

Collecting Some Rubbish

Usually when you visit the Rubbish Dump and manage to snag a piece of rubbish, it is just rubbish. However, sometimes, if you are lucky, you could get a bottle faerie, a codestone or even something as awesome as a paintbrush. You will also have the chance to grab items that can only be found at the Rubbish Dump. Those items are found below.

The two below are very rare.

Didn't You Know They Were Donated?

One man's rubbish is still rubbish. Oh, that's not how the saying goes? Well at the Rubbish Dump that's how it works. Every item you can grab says it was donated by someone. Thing is, they didn't really donate it. Some items are randomly labelled with random neopians' usernames. So really, it wasn't stolen from you or neither did you actually donate it - you were randomly picked as the person who donated a random item.

Afterword

I hope you enjoy this fabulous place in the world of Neopia! It's smelly, but who cares? You get free stuff! Here at NeopetsGuide, we love free. If you found an error or anything that was 'my bad', please let me know so I can fix it!
