Snowager/ terror mountain

Everyone talks about the Snowager and what they stole from it on Neopets. If you're a newbie, you might be confused about this popular topic on the boards. What is the Snowager? What can you steal from it? Where do you find it? Why is it almost always awake? All of these questions, and some others beside, will be answered in this guide. After reading this guide you will be the master of stealing from the Snowager.

The Snowager's History

Not only does the Snowager have a known history, but it also has two articles in the NeoPedia about it! The articles are quite lengthy so I have read and paraphrased them for you to read. You can look them up if you want- after all, reading isn't such a terrible thing!

The first article is simply called "The Snowager." It starts out by introducing a character named Keblin, who is a young Snow Aisha. After convincing his mentor and father's friend, Gradolf, to let him go visit the Snowager, he gets ready for the adventure and travels to its lair. Gradolf and Kendrak (Keblin's father) had once planned a similar adventure but after Gradolf turned around and left the cave, Kendrak disappeared and was never heard from again. Keblin knows all about the Snowager- the only Neopets who have seen the Snowager's hoard and lived to tell the tale were those who did not attempt to steal anything. To make a long story short, Keblin found the Snowager and woke him up by screaming, after which he ran away.

In the second article, a plushie Tuskaninny named Simon decides to steal a Super Negg from the Snowager. When he arrives the Snowager is asleep, and the prize is on top of a high pile that Simon can't climb. He decides to throw a rock at it and knock it down, but then he remembers that he isn't good at catching and drops the Negg. The loud clatter wakes the Snowager up, but he can't find the intruder so he goes back to sleep, resting his head on a very comfortable plushie Tuskaninny. We still don't know if Simon made it out alive.

If you read the full version of both these articles, you will come to the conclusion that not a lot is known about the Snowager's history. The Snowager is a mean beast who killed anyone who tried to steal from its hoard and not many Neopets have seen him and lived to tell the tale. But that was a long time ago- after reading this guide, you will be great at stealing from the Snowager and you will never die (although you might get hurt.)

All In All, It's The SNOWAGER!!! *Rawr!*

By definition, the Snowager is a giant worm/snake made out of ice that likes to collect rare (and not so rare) items to hoard. It lives on Terror Mountain in the Ice Caves and spends most of its time guarding its treasure. On the off chance that you visit the Snowager while it's sleeping, you can attempt to steal one of its many items. Luckily there is no guesswork about visiting the Snowager when it's asleep; for a while the times it is asleep have been known.

Whenever you steal an item from the Snowager, it will probably be a cheap toy that you can sell for about 50 neopoints. For example, one of the most common items that are stolen is key rings. Actually, those are the only items that I have ever gotten from the Snowager. You may not always get an item from the Snowager. Sometimes it will wake up, look at you, and go back to sleep... other times it will attack you. Don't worry about having ice blasted at you since your pets can easily be healed at the Healing Springs.

When Does The Snowager Sleep?

The Snowager sleeps for only three hours a day. Sometimes it's hard to log on when the Snowager is sleeping because the time difference between NST and your own time zone changes in a cycle. If you have trouble visiting the Snowager when it's sleeping, try to figure out when it will be asleep during your regular time. Here are the times (in NST) that the Snowager sleeps:

6:00 to 7:00 AM, NST
2:00 to 3:00 PM, NST
10:00 to 11:00 PM, NST

I hope this guide has not just provided you with the basic information about the Snowager but also interested you in what The Neopets Team calls its past.
