Mood Indicators in MS Paint
Uses MS Paint and Word | It is A little Sticky | Written by Shalane
So I am sure you have seen those mood indicators everywhere, right? And you want to know how to make those, right? Those are super easy! I am going to break it down for you now! You will need just paint, word, and a photobucket.com account for this tutorial. Got those things, now we are ready to get started! Oh yeah, I provide a template and the know-how, but credit isn't needed, but is always nice.
Template
Open up a paint window. Stretch it out so it is nice and big. Copy the template and paste it on the top left corner or your paint work space.

Choose a Pet
First things first, choose a pet to make your mood indicator of. I choose a baby quiggle for this one! Copy the url below and paste it into a new window, changing the "PETNAME" to the species of the pet you would like and the "COLOR" to the color of that pet you would like.
Now copy the image and paste it onto your paint window. Next, change "happy" to "sad" and copy and paste the image. Do the same to "beaten" and "angry". You should now have all 4 images and a template on your paint window.
Setting Up
Copy this image on the right and change your background color to orange and make sure you have opacity unchecked. (You can change the opacity by going to Image >> Draw Opaque. You want it to be not checked.) Paste the image over each of the 4 mood images, leaving just the face shown.
Change your background color to white. Now cut out everything but those 4 squares. Put them close together.
Open up word. In your paint window, user your selection to to select the 4 small boxes at once. Paste it in your word. Right-click and click on "format picture". A window will pop up. Image Control >> Color >> Greyscale >> Ok.
Now that you have your 4 indicator parts, copy the whole image into a new window. Now crop it down to just the template so the border shows with nothing else. Save the happy one as "mood-1-happy.PNG", the sad one as "mood-1-sad.PNG", etc. Now go to photobucket and upload them all. Now the only difference in the url is the mood part. So people just need to make that change! Ta-Da!
