Gormball is a classic Neopian game! The Gormball is passed from character to character until it EXPLODES! If you are the last one standing, you win a prize, from NP to ancient evil alien artifacts! It’s only 20 NP per game.
Gormball is a very serious game and is heavily based in luck. There are no ways to click the mouse or hit the keys, no special codes to double your score. To win Gormball is a feat people rarely do. The closest that I've been to winnin is in the top three players!
Now, when the Gormball screen first comes up you have to pay 20 NeoPoints. However, to even make a profit you need to gain 21 Gormball Points. (Each Gormball Point is one NeoPoint.) After you pay the 20 NeoPoints you have to choose your character. Don't worry about reading all the biographies; no matter who you back, your chance of winning is the same; almost no chance at all.
I always back Ember, and I seem to do fine in Gormball with her. Maybe you should back her, too!
Then after you submit you get to the playing screen. You see a field with the characters, and at the top you can see how many points you have. Whenever it is your turn you click how long you wait in the drop-down bar and then throw the ball. You can wait anywhere from 2 seconds before throwing to 5 seconds. I suggest waiting 2 seconds because the Gormball can burst at any time, and if you are holding when it bursts then the game IS OVER!
After you throw you may get some Gormball Points; you may not. Sometimes you'll get them after another player throws, and then sometimes you'll get a box with a Gormball on it. The two kinds of Gormballs that I have seen are a Pink Gormball and a Steel Gormball. Pink ones always give you points whereas the Steel Gormballs take them away.
When the Gormball bursts on you, the gam eis over and however Gormball Points you have you receive in NeoPoints. If you are the last player, then you get some reward I have never seen.
You can also buy Gormball themed items, and there are shopkeepers and images in Gormball's honor that you can use, too!
So remember: Zurroball... boring!
