Ummm..Feeding?
If you have more than one pet, feeding them can get pretty expensive. Almost every Neopets user wants to keep their pets well-fed without wasting all of their hard-earned neopoints. So, how can you keep the cost down to the minimum? The answer is really easy: follow this budget. This guide is written to help you minimize the cost of feeding multiple pets.

Your Daily Food Ration
Yes, there are several dailies that pass out food. Most of them can only be visited once a day to maintain how well it works when you use it. The Giant Omlette in Tyrannia is the most used daily. You can collect one Omlette per day which will give you three feedings. Therefore, if you get an Omlette everyday you can feed all of your pets easily. Not to mention, the food will never go bad. Omelettes of rare varities can be collected and if this happens to you, you should shop wizard it. It might be worth a lot of neopoints and you could sell this to pay for many meals to come.

Another daily that will give you food is the Giant Jelly in Jelly World. (To those of you who do not believe in Jelly World: I guess that this daily won’t work for you.) Sometimes you will get a screen that says the Giant Jelly was eaten, but this only happens so many months (the same goes for the Giant Omlette. Once in a while it won’t be there.) There are several kinds of Jelly that your pets can eat, but watch out for the Poisonous ones. Obviously, they will make your pets sick. You can tell a Poisonous Jelly by both its name and coloring- this Jelly is purple with red spots. I also wouldn’t feed your pets Dung Jelly. Each Jelly will last for two feedings. If you collect both Jellies and Omlettes, you can save the leftovers for later when you need them or can sell the extra in your shop for about 1 to 5 neopoints each.

If you visit the Fruit Machine in Sakhmet, you will win about 50 neopoints and a fruit about once a week, sometimes more. The fruits change every time, but the most common are Tcheas and Ummagines. You can either save the neopoints in your bank or use them to buy more food.

If you visit the Coltzan's Shrine between 11-12 NST you most likely will receive a burnt food. You sometimes will win food prizes at the Tombola. Also, every half-hour you can visit Healing Springs where your pets may be fed. You may have several opportunities to win food through wheels, events and games.

Monthly Freebies
Of course you’ve heard of the Monthly Freebies! Whenever you collect them you will get 2,000 neopoints and a food item for each of your pets. These foods tend to be of a higher value then the food you will get from dailies. Mark your calendar on the first day of each month and remember to collect. You can either use the food and store it or sell it for about 10 to 20 neopoints depending on what it is.

NeoLodge
One of the best options for keeping your pets fed while not spending a lot of nps is using the NeoLodge. You can book a room for 1-28 days during which your pets will be fed to the status level of bloating. If you have 4 Neopets, it costs only 560 neopoints for 28 days. That’s 1,748 neopoints a year for 4 pets! And if you use the dailies you won’t need to use the NeoLodge everyday so the cost will be lower. Remember, even if your pets are in the NeoLodge you can play with them, train them, or fight with them in the Battledome.

Afterthoughts
If you want to think this way, you can remember that Neopets don’t die. Therefore, you don’t have to feed them. Feeding your pets does, however, improve their playing, fighting, and training. On this one fact I place my case that everyone should feed their pets at least once every three days. I must say that the NeoLodge is probably your best bet to use!

After reading this guide, you should be able to feed all of your pets cheaply while also making some spare neopoints on the side. I hope this guide has been useful to you.
