So are you wondering how you get a krawk? Here is a step by step guide to getting a krawk, not including adopting one, or useing a morphing or Transmogrification potion.
Step 1: Get a krawk petpet, which will cost about 3 million. and is a very rare item. you can buy it in the trading post or actions if there is one there. (can not be zaped by the petpet lab ray)
Step 2: Attach the krawk (give) to one of your pets, on an account that has 3 pets or less. or this won't work
Step 3: Click on the krawk (petpet) by going to your pet's quick reference page
Step 4: Name the petpet making sure the name is not taken (like when you are creating a neopet)
Step 5: Go to the Fungus Caves and feed your petpet (krawk) this special fungus (the fungus is provided by the cave)
When your petpet eats the fungus, it will tranform into a neopet, which the species will be a krawk! that is why you need to make sure you only have 3 pets on the account.
That is a very expensive way to get a krawk though. and buying a Krawk morphing potion (red, yellow, blue)(is there a green one? neomail me if you know) is much cheaper. OR, if you like mutant krawks, buy a Krawk Transmogrification Potion which will turn your pet into a Mutant Krawk. (with these potions, you feed them to your pet for them to drink. and the pet you feed the potion to will turn into a krawk (everything else will still be the same, such as gender, status)
