Feed Those Kadoaties
The Kadoatery is where you will find 20 kadoadities. The Kadoatery is where Kadoaties go when their owners are on holiday. It's a nice place, but it doesn't take long for them to get lonely. The only way you can make them happy is by feeding them the item they request.
Why Should I Feed Them?
If you feed a kadoatie you can receive a trophy (3 total, depending on number fed) or even an avatar! Plus, those poor kadoaties are so hungry. You will not receive a kadoatie petpet (a bad rumor spread by the Neopian Times). To see the trophies and avatar information, scroll down to the table shown at the end of this guide.
How To Feed Kadoaties
Those little kadoaties get hungry every 28 minutes after they were last fed. However, sometimes they will not "restock" right then. Refresh a few seconds after. If they are still not hungry, an additonal 7 minutes (to be believed) is when the next "restock" will occur. That is why you need to act fast! People will lurk around the Kadoatery to try to feed them. You better have the foods they are hungry for in your inventory quickly. Many people will bulk-purchase the items they ask for just to make sure they can feed one of the kadoaties. You can learn the restock time by visiting the neoboards. Often there is a topic that will tell you the time.
In the case you do not already have the item, you will need to have another window open at the shop wizard. Be prepared with a large sum of neopoints on hand. The second you see the Kadoatery has "restocked", quickly copy the name of the first item you see and use the shop wizard to find it. You better be very quick. Buy the first one you see and hurry back to the Kadoatery page and hope that you are the first one.
In rare cases there are kads that are fed sometime after the initial restock. This is often because the item is extremely expensive. If that is the case, that kadoatie will not restock at the same time. This is often called a "mini restock".
What Foods Do They Want?
Kadoaties will never ask for any aquatic, baked, candy, coffee, gross, slushie, or smoothie type food. They may, however, ask for a food with these words in them. They also will not request a food that has a raritity index of higher than r95. Blue Draik Eggs are no longer asked for. For a complete list of foods that can be requested, click here.
Since we know the types of foods kadoaties want, many people will decided to bulk purchase items of a certain variety. For example, you could buy all of the hotdogs, hold them in your inventory, and the second the Kadoatery "restocks" you can search to see if any kad wants a hotdog.
