You have now created your shop. You have a shopkeeper and a short description so people can find out a bit more about your shop. Now What????
First your title. Make your title short and probably no more than 3 words. Your title should relate to the things that you are selling in your shop. You don�t want your title to say �The snack bar� and all you are selling is clothing. Remember to make your relate your title with the items that you are selling.
You probably want to attract attention to your shop. The first thing I recommend you to do is find a nice layout for your shop. Nothing too flashy or bright because most users do not like sore eye layouts. Simple layouts would be the best for your shop. MUSIC IS A BIG NO-NO. A lot of users hate it when there listening to there tunes and all of a sudden a Brittany Spears song blasts out of your speakers. It makes people not want to visit your shop.
Now that you�ve got your layout you need a description. Your description for your shop should not be too long or bulky. When people brag about there shop or force people to shop there, it often annoys visitors and it makes them not want to visit your shop again. Make your description short and sweet. I would go with around 1-2 sentences. People like a warm welcome and they would probably want to know a bit more about your shop. A plain description like �Welcome� does not give your shop a good look. So remember that when your making your shop!!
Now you have your cool layout and description. You need to find your items!!! Browse through your items and decide on which ones you would like to sell. (Be sure not too sell junky items in your shop!!! Nobody wants to buy junky items!!!!!!!!!) If you don�t have any items to sell, visit the money tree or the trading post. Your bound to find some great deals there!!!! After you have all your items in your shop, you need to price them. What I like to do is to type in the name of your items in the shop wizard. Find the lowest price possible for that item. After you found the lowest possible price, type that amount in but lower the price by a couple of neopoints (about 3-5). When you start selling your items they will go in a breeze!!!!
Be sure to add some small link banners to your shop. People sometimes like to link to shops that are cheap. You can also add those banners to your lookup or guid. When people visit them they will see the banner and it will lead them to your shop. You can even make a mall with other people to form a giant shopping place!!!! Don�t forget to advertise your shop on the shop boards!!! People are always looking for good deals. 
Sometimes you can get an opportunity to place your banner on a site so people can find your shop!!!! (It would be great if your shop ad would be placed on a large site, since lot�s of people visit those sites and they will see your ad) You can apply here at neopetsguide to be advertised!!!
