This is 100% real. I asked the scammer questions after an attempt to scam me. Please be aware that I fully enforce the honest neopoint-earning ways and that is why I am sharing this with you. This scammer is a bit twisted.. ALL of this is real.

The Neopets Team/TNT

First things.. I was like no-way. First, remember that NEOPETS WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PASSWORD VIA EMAIL. I decided to see if this scammer would answer a few questions.. and so this REAL interview began.

The Interview
Scammer: EMAIL SHOWN ABOVE

Shalane: are you kidding me? I am reporting you.

Scammer: Ha are you kiding me? You dont know my account name. So whats it matter anyways?

Shalane: I have reported your email and Neopets will have Hotmail delete it.

Scammer: Actually that cant happen cause its under my accustom

Now this is where I decided to really ask some questions...

Shalane: We will see. Also, does this really work for you? Do you really get accounts this way?

Scammer: Yes it works almost everytime! Though i dont take the accounts i take the stuff on them and somtimes the people dont know how to change there password so i can do it more than once!

Shalane: That is pretty bad... people are really stupid.. where do you get emails? Just from websites and stuff..

Scammer: Oh gosh no! haha people make msn/aim boards and stuff and i just grab them off there and then if i am on a hacked acount i some times make an msn board and then when they add me to msn i hack them!

Shalane: Where did you get my email? I mean.. this is your second attempt to email me..

Scammer: ... Really? Did i email you twice? I got it off some site while i was lurking and i thought i would give it a try xD LOL

Shalane: Oh... well I own NeopetsGuide.com so I figured you'd grabbed it from there. I got one from a gmail account.. the.tnt2006@gmail.com I think... It was a lot more professional sounding so it could have been someone else.. Why exactly do you do this anyways?

Scammer: Well at first i did it because i wanted to try somthing new on neopets and this sounded fun so i gave it a try, Then i got addicted to all the neopoints i got! And now i just do it because i like to see how fast i can gut out a whole account!!

Shalane: Wow.. Do you ever feel bad about doing it?

Scammer: God no! Its a blast! You should get into doing it!! But dont use your main account to send the things to. Send the items you hack to spare account then gradually hand them to your main

Shalane: No thanks.. I'll stick to the honest way.. although I actually don't play Neopets much... I just have a mill or so plus like a load of pbs and faeries sitting in my sob. I save them and give them to friends and what-not. Trying to lure the scammer to talk to me longer.

Scammer: -drool- I saved up my neopoints for a cloud paint brush and when i bought it the next day my main acount was frozen from report happies!!! ;(

ENDS INTERVIEW

Afterword

There are scammers everywhere. You need to protect yourself. Remember that Neopets will NEVER contact you through your email and demand a password. Also, they wouldn't email you randomly not even knowing your username. NEVER trust anyone or anything that requests your password. Keep your password strong. Make it something nobody can guess.
