Neopet Themes
Neopets has nearly always had themes that one could find. Even after the layout change, you can still have themes. Even more so now, with built in default themes. A theme changes the top header, the bottom footer, all event icons (except for warning from tnt), and changes the rotating images, as well as change the colors of the page. Here we have made it so you can have a sneak peak and also learn how you get these neat little themes. 
You can change your theme by going to your site preferences at any time.
Default Themes
Just by having an account you have access to Neopets Basic, Neopets Yellow, Neopets Red, Neopets Blue and Neopets Green.
Altador Cup Theme
This theme can be acquired through the participation in at least one match in the Altador Cup from any year. You must play one of the games. If you did, visit the Altador Cup Prize page.
Altadorian Theme
This theme is acquired still available. The Altador Plot is a mini-plot, and when finished, you just need to click King Altador to receive the theme.
Birthday Theme
This theme can be acquired on two days in the year. These dates are Neopets’s birthday (November 15th) and the day you gave to Neopets for your birthday. The theme also attracts more special events, which can be good or bad.
Curse of Maraqua Theme
This theme can be acquired through the participation in the ‘Curse of Maraqua’ plot. To get this now currently retired theme, you must have participated in the Maraquan War. If you did, it costs just one war point on the Maraquan prize page.
Cyodrake’s Gaze Theme
This theme can be acquired only if you completed the Cyodrake’s Gaze plot andanswered two of Captain Tuan’s questions correctly. This is Retired.
Halloween Theme
This theme is acquired by being on Neopets between 11:59 pm and 11:59:59 pm Neopian Standard Time on October31st.
Neovia Theme
This theme can be acquired through the participation of the "Tale of Woe" plot and if you did not participate you cannot receive this theme. If you did, visit you have participated in some way, visit Sophie’s Shack in Neovia to receive the theme.
Purple Theme
This theme can be acquired by visiting the petlookup of any purple pet.
Qasalan Theme
(Also known as the Lost Desert Theme) This theme can be acquired by visiting Lost Desert prize page upon completion of the Lost Desert plot.
Space Faerie Theme
This theme is acquired if you sign up for Premium Neopets. You then must refer five other people to Premium. You only get the theme if those five people stay on Premium after their 15-day free trial.
Winter Theme
This theme can be acquired through a random event on Terror Mountain . Some have received it on the last day of the yearly Advent Calendar.
Valentine’s Day Theme
This theme can be acquired by sending someone a ‘Mysterious Valentine’s Card’ or by receiving it on February 14th. This item must be sent by a person without the site theme in order for anyone to get the theme. If you already have it and you send it on the 14th, the other person will just receive the card.
