Opening a new document is pretty straight forward, You just click File > New. but sometimes you need to be caution when opening a new one.
I have noticed that sometimes when I open a new document, the color mode is set on "Grayscale" or something like that. You need to make sure that the color mode is on RGB color, unless a tutorial has instructed you to change that.
Next, you need to make sure that the width and height of your image will fit onto the document. Usally, if you already have the image copied before opening the new document, it will do the width and height for you.
Well, that is pretty much it, now, all that's left is just make the graphic or effect you want to make/do!
