This tutorial is for all versions of Adobe Photoshop.
1. To start, find the image with an object/person you would like to stand out and leave remaining by removing the background. This is the method for doing celebrity graphics.
2. Open it up into Photoshop. Now go to Filter >>> Extract. Then, going very slowly, draw an outline around the object/personyou are keeping from the picture. The best way is to enlarge the image and change the brush size to super small when working in the small places of the image and around the object. Once you are done, click on the fill button and click inside the selected area. Click OK.
3. Your image will probably be a little bit ugly right now. Not exactly what you were going for? No problem. We are going to clean it up by using the air brush and eraser tools touch up the object/person and remove the excess background.
4. Once your image looks the way you'd like it to, just save and you are ready to use it where you would like!
