This tutorial was made for PSP8 but can easily be translated to other versions.
This effect is one of my favorites. It will make your images look more angelic and will soften a picture up. I just really like this. I thought it was weird that I couldn't find tutorials on this effect so I decided I'd make one for you guys!
First select the image you'd like to use and open it up in PSP. I am going to use this illusen garden one.
Copy your WHOLE image. Don't lose that copy.
Effects >>> Edge Effects >>> Erode
Your image will look a little bit weird now. No biggy. Now paste by going CLTL + L and you will place your first image over the eroded one. Now your image should look like it is just like the first one.
Notice on the side where you change your colors and textures? There is a section that shows layers. You should have two layers on there. Double click on the top layer (not the background one) and a window will pop up. Change the part where it says "Opacity" to 75. Click OK.
Now go to Layers >>> Merge >>> Merge All.
Save and you are done your image! Looks pretty cool, eh?
